The ongoing 2023 Presidential and National Assembly Elections have so far recorded large turnout of enthusiastic voters.

NewsOrient observes that all over Nigeria, from Lagos to Yola, and from Anambra to Daura, voters trooped out en- mass to cast their votes.

In a lot of the polling boots monitored this morning, accreditation began as early as 9am but in some areas like Ajao Estate in Lagos voting materials came so late that voters, some of who came out as early as 7am, had to wait up to 11am to be accredited for voting.

By 12noon however the outgoing President Muhammadu Buhari has voted in Daura, his country home in Katsina State even as most of the leading Presidential candidates, including Peter Obi of Labour Party, Atiku Abubakar of PDP and Bola Ahmed Tinubu of All Progressives Congress, have voted peacefully in Agulu Anambra State, Yola Adamawa State and Ikeja Lagos State, respectively.
