The United Kingdom has formally begun implementation of it latest policy that bans migrants on health and care givers visa from bringing in dependants.

A post from Home Office (@ukhomeoffice) dated March 11, 2024, said:
“From today, care workers entering the UK on Health and Care Worker visas can no longer bring dependants.”

Reports said UK policy makers consider this measure as part of the “plan to deliver the biggest ever cut in migration.”

Home Secretary, James Cleverly, was quoted as saying: “Care workers make an incredible contribution to our society, taking care of our loved ones in times of need.

“But we cannot justify inaction in the face of clear abuse, manipulation of our immigration system and unsustainable migration numbers.”
