Reagan Ufomba Outlines Core Values Of The Nigerian Project
9th December 2024, NewsOrient, News,
Chief Reagan Ufomba, the National Convenor of The Nigerian Project (TNP) has again outlined the vision of the project.
He made the declaration on the occasion of the second meeting of state Administrators, Ag. Coordinators, Coordinators, and Executive Committee Members of the project.
He said: “Distinguished Exco Members, State Coordinators, Advisers, and Leaders of The Nigerian Project,
“It is with immense pride and gratitude that I welcome you all to this significant gathering.
Your presence reaffirms your unwavering commitment to the principles and vision of The Nigerian Project (TNP) — a family united in love, patriotism, and the pursuit of national transformation.
I extend a special welcome to our newly inducted members, particularly the Acting National Secretary, the Acting National Women Leader, the Acting Youth Leader, and our Technical and Media Advisers. Your inclusion enriches our discourse and strengthens our leadership.
I am particularly delighted by the presence of our dream Women Leader. As we say,“No woman, no nation.” Thank you for answering the call to serve.
There has been questions about the objective of TNP. The answer to this question is contained in our initial press statement. In addition, and most pragmatically, we shall work according to the rules of engagement on political activities and directive from our national leader. But most importantly, let it be known that our collective destiny is in our hands. This is our stand.
Furthermore, the message we convey to the public is critical to our impact and the perception of who we are. It is therefore essential to deploy tact, harmonize our ideas, firm our values, design our schemes, and carve a unique methodology. As a collective, TNP seeks to:
Revive and redefine Nigeria’s trajectory in line with the socio-economic and political doctrines of IBB, tailored to modern realities.
Uphold protocols, patriotism, and a relentless pursuit of excellence.
Our core values include:
Patriotism to the Nation – Prioritizing Nigeria’s collective interests above personal or sectional agendas.
Security and Justice for All – Building a safe and equitable society.
True Federalism – Advocating for equitable resource and power distribution across regions.
Electoral Reforms – Striving for free, fair, and credible elections.
Zero Tolerance for Corruption – Upholding integrity in governance.
Agricultural and Industrial Revolution Promoting economic diversification and job creation.
Mass Literacy – Ensuring quality education for every Nigerian child.
Goodbye to Poverty – Eradicating poverty through inclusive economic growth.
Dos and Don’ts
As stewards of this vision, your actions must reflect TNP’s shared values. Therefore:
Dos
Foster unity, inclusivity, and respect in all engagements.
Mobilize and educate Nigerians about TNP’s unadulterated mission and vision.
Uphold transparency and adhere to TNP’s guiding principles.
Don’ts
Do not misuse IBB’s name frivolously.
Avoid regional, religious, or divisive tendencies.
Refrain from endorsing candidates or political figures without express clearance from the National Secretariat.
Never compromise TNP’s integrity or unity through unauthorized activities or publications.
Use TNPs uniform structures to be issued immediately after this meeting.
Our strength lies in our patriotism and commitment to the project. Building a robust foundation across states, the FCT, local governments, wards, villages, and the diaspora is critical.
As I recently noted, “It is no use sitting in the cockpit of an aircraft if you cannot move the plane.”
Our Key priorities include:
Establishing strong state structures aligned with our national vision.
Engaging communities through meaningful initiatives.
Expanding our membership base with passionate Nigerians.
Let me extend heartfelt appreciation to our state administrators for their dedication in mobilizing communities and hosting inaugural meetings. Your efforts in establishing state secretariats and advancing TNP’s mission are commendable. Many have been rewarded with promotions and confirmations to substantive positions.
To our new members and officers, welcome to a transformative journey. Your energy, ideas, and commitment will be instrumental in achieving our shared goals. As we march forward, let us remain steadfast, disciplined, patriotic, and united. The choice is ours to make between service to nation and service to self; and between service to our various political parties and service to The Nigerian Project.
But if you ask me, TNP is not just a movement; it is a legacy that was, and a lagacy in the making. The choice is yours.
Together, we will rewrite Nigeria’s narrative, ensuring a brighter future for generations to come.
Thank you for your dedication and patriotism. Long live The Nigerian Project. Indeed, a new Nigeria is possible!”
