The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has released the suspended Accountant-General of the Federation, Ahmed Idris, on bail.

Reports reaching NewsOrient said he was released on Wednesday.

It would be recalled that the top public official was arrested middle of May, 2022 for alleged involvement in a N174 billion fraud.

Following his arrest and investigation, Idris was suspended from his plum office.

As at the time of going to press, the terms of his bail is yet to be ascertained.
