As Lagos State Government puts some finishing touches on some parts of the Lagos Blue Rail Line, many commuters have expressed hope that, as part of their Christmas fun, they will cruise on the blue line.

NewsOrient reports that as at today, there are clear indications that the dream of such Christmas fun seekers may come to fulfilment since the Governor of Lagos State, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has already announced formally that the Blue Line Rail, Phase 1 (Marina to Mile 2), “will be completed next week and that members of the public will be invited to witness it.”

“I can’t wait to take a blue line cruise this Christmas. For me, that would be my most valuable experience this year’s Christmas,” says 17 year old Bose Bamgbose, a Lagos resident.

For Blessing Udo, a banker in Victoria Island, “opening of the Lagos Blue Rail Line will mark a landmark in the development of the Lagos Mega City. I and my friends, including my fiance, are already making plans on how to make such a cruise part of our Christmas fun.”
