All Set For Emeka Nwosu’s Media, Politics and Power In Nigeria
Today, Thursday June 9, 2022, prominent Nigerians are gathering at Shehu Musa Yar’Adua Centre, Abuja, for the public presentation and launching of the book, Media, Politics and Power In Nigeria, written by veteral journalist and ace Editor, Writer and Political Reporter, Dr. Emeka Nwosu
The book launch, which promises to be a show-stopper will hold under the distinguished chairmanship of erstwhile Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) boss, Senator Victor Ndoma-Egba.
Dr Ogbonnaya Onu, former Governor of Abia State and immediate past Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation is expected to be the Chief Guest of Honour.
Also, His Exellency, Dr Kayode Fayemi, Governor Ekiti State and Chairman Nigerian Governor’s Forum, will be the Guest Speaker. He will be speaking on “the Media and Deepening of Democratic Values in Nigeria”.
One time presidential spokesperson and Chairman of the Editorial Board of Thisday newspapers, Olusegun Adeniyi, will be the book reviewer at the event which is scheduled to begin at 10am prompt, while former Deputy Governor of Abia State and Senate Minority Leader, Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe, will be the book presenter.
The list of co – presenters include High Chief Victor Ikeji, a Lagos-based business magnate; Mr. Iheanyi Eric Omekara, a Port Harcourt based Financial expert; High Chief Chris Isiguzo, the President of Nigeria Union of Journalists; the President, Nigerian Guild of Editors; and the President, Newspapers Proprietors Association of Nigeria.
Others are executives of media institutions and regulatory agencies, Editors, media scholars, academics as well as leaders of media development groups.
The book launch is also expected to be graced by politicians, top government dignitaries, including the governors of Abia, Imo, Enugu, Anambra and Ebonyi, members of the diplomatic corps and diversity of media, democracy and civil society actors.
His Royal Majesty, Eze Uzo Nwosu, Ojim 1 of Ojim Ukwu Nnu Egbe, Umukabia Autonomous Community, Ohuhu, Abia State and His Royal Highness, Alhaji Ismaila Mohammed, Sarkin Karshi, FCT, Abuja will stand as Royal Fathers of the Day.
The wife of a former Senate President and former First Lady of Imo State, Her Excellency, Chief Mrs. Vivienne Enwerem, will be the Mother of the day.
