A video clip currently trending in the social media shows no fewer than 50 children allegedly  rescued from an underground apartment in a church in Ondo town, Ondo State.

A report in Vanguard said the children “were abducted and kept in the underground cell.”

As at the time of filing this report, the pastor of the Church and some other suspects, mainly members of the Church, have been arrested by  Police detectives in the town.

Spokesperson for Ondo State Police Command,  Funmi Odunlami, while confirming the discovery by police detectives, said the victims had been taken to the Akure headquarters of the Command.

She however said: “I don’t have the details yet but they are bringing the victims to the headquarters.

“I will give you the details as soon as I get it from the DPO.”
