Youth Advocate, Onwuneme, Alerts Tinubu, Governors Over Praise Singers
A youth advocate and public affairs analyst Engr. Nwabueze Onwumeme has alerted President Bola Tinubu and state governors to be wary of individuals and groups singing their praises and doling out accolades on them at this stage.
Onwuneme, in a press release made available to newsmen said such individuals and groups do not mean well for them and also to Nigerians at large but just currying favours, personal gains or singing the praises in lieu of appointments.
Onwuneme said Tinubu and the governors, having been in government for just over a month cannot and would not have achieved milestones that would deserve such encomiums being poured on them.
Onwuneme told Tinubu and the governors that nothing has changed since their assumption in office, adding that Nigerians are still grasping under the menace of insecurity, killings, hunger, high inflation etc.
The youth advocate specifically commended Dr. Alex Otti, the Governor of Abia State, whom he said warned against such sycophantic gestures from the offset of his government.
Onwuneme called on Nigerians to rather pray for the nation and it’s leaders and be hopeful that this present leaders would deliver on their campaign promises.
