Babangida Shares His Desires For Nigeria
As Nigeria celebrates her 62nd Independence anniversary today, October 1, 2022, former Military President, General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida (Retd), is one of the elder statesmen that has shared his desires for the country.
Among other desires, the former military leader desires that Nigeria should remain a united, prosperous great nation where peace will reign supreme.
His advise for Nigerians is ‘to remain confident and optimistic.”
IBB shared these while addressing newsmen in Minna, Niger State on the 62nd anniversary of Nigeria.
The former Head of State and Military President said “it will require the collective efforts of all to achieve this.”
On the prolonged face-off between the Federal Government and Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Babangida expressed optimism, saying the current crisis will be resolved soon.
On the 2023 Elections, Babangida has words for politicians and Nigerian youths.
To politicians, he said “adhere to basic acceptable behaviour; to the youths, “resist the temptation of allowing yourselves to be used as thugs by politicians during the elections.”
