2023 Presidency: Yoruba Leaders Host Osinbajo, Tinubu, Others
To streamline Yoruba interest ahead of 2023 Presidential Election campaigns, Yoruba Leaders have held a strategic meeting where they interacted with all the leading Presidential aspirants from the Southwest zone.
Present at the crucial meeting were Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, the National Leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu,.
Aside Osinbajo and Tinubu, other prominent Yoruba leaders at the event included, Ekiti State Governor, Kayode Fayemi, who is also contesting the presidency, former Governor of Lagos State and current Works and Housing Minister, Babatunde Fashola, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila and Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola.
Others are: the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Chief Niyi Adebayo, Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State, and his counterparts from Ogun Dapo Abiodun and Osun Gboyega Oyetola.
The meeting was convened by the first Chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Bisi Akande and a former Governor of Ogun State, Chief Segun Osoba, both of whom served as Co-Conveners.
The meeting held in Lagos on Friday.
