Wike Threatens To Demolish All Buildings In Abuja Erected ‘Where There Should Not Be’
Former Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, who just resumed office as the Minister of Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, has threatened to demolish “all buildings erected where they should not be built.”
“All those people distorting the master plan of Abuja, too bad. If you have built where you are not supposed to have built, it will go down. Be you a Minister or an Ambassador or whatever, if you have developed where you are not supposed to develop, your house must go down,” Wike warned in a televised public address.
Wike gave the threat just few hours after assuming office as the new Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
NewsOrient Network reports that Wike’s threat in his first address to the residents of the FCT, Abuja, sent shock waves not only in Abuja, but across the country.
Already, his threat and the likely outcome of Wike’s style of governance have emerged major topics of discussion in the social media.
While some dismissed the former Rivers governor as an empty vessel making unnecessary noise others said his approach may further de-market the already embattled government of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
