Supreme Court To Begin Hearing Of Obi, Atiku And Ojei’s Cases Against Tinubu’s Election On Monday

It has been confirmed that on Monday, October 23, 2023, the Supreme Court will commence hearing on the election petition appeals filed by Labour Party’s Presidential Candidate, Peter Obi, former Vice-President, Atiku Abubakar, the Presidential Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in the February 2023 Presidential Election and Chichi Ojei of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM).

The confirmation draws from a document signed by the Supreme Court Registrar, Zainab Garba.

Meanwhile, the Supreme Court of Nigeria has constituted a seven-member panel of justices to hear the appeals from the three candidates challenging the results of the February 25 Presidential Election.

The panel of justices assigned to review the appeals includes Adamu Jauro, Uwani Musa Abba Aji, Lawal Garba, Helen M. Ogunwumiju, I.N. Saulawa, Tijjani Abubakar, and Emmanuel Agim.
