The epic battle for the leadership of Abia State came to a head today as the Supreme Court, this afternoon, dismissed the appeal of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) against Gov. Alex Otti’s election and subsequently affirmed Dr Alex Otti as the duly elected/returned Governor of Abia State since March 18 2023.

Also, the Supreme Court today dismissed the appeal of Ikechi Emenike of All Progressive Congress (APC) against Gov. Alex Otti of Labour Party and further affirmed the election of Gov. Alex Otti as the duly elected/returned Governor of Abia State during the 2023 General Elections.

NewsOrient reports that the apex court lambasted the Appellants for “pursuing academic issues selfishly to access the Government House, Umuahia through the Back door.”
