All is set for Professor Hagler Okorie, a Professor of Law, to present the 79th Inaugural Lecture of Abia State University, Uturu, today, 17th September 2025.

The Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Ndukwe J Okeudo, in the official invitation to the event said it will be held at the University Auditorium in Uturu, today by 11am.

The Inaugural Lecture is titled: “Legal Intersection Between Armed Conflict, Other Situations Of Violence (OSVS) And Mercantilism In Nigeria: The Need To Make Corruption A Crime Against Humanity.”

The Inaugural Lecturer, Professor Hagler Okorie, is a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria.

He is a former Commissioner for Youth and Development and three times Local Government Chairman.

During his student days, he served as a Student Union Government
(SUG) President.

A former Acting Dean, Student Affairs, Professor Hagler Okorie today lectures at the Law Faculty of Abia State University.
