As Protesters storm Osun Government Office In Osogbo
Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, has commended the protesters of #EndBadGovernance for being peaceful so far in their protest in Osun State.
The Governor dropped the hints while attending to a large numbers of protesters that stormed the Osun State Secretariat in Osogbo to continue their demands for good governance.
According to a statement from Deputy Governor’s Media Team, signed by Goke Awoyemi, Osun State Governor, who was represented by the Deputy Governor, Prince Kola Adewusi, appreciated and commended the protesters on the way and manner they behaved in the past days since the protest broke out.
Prince Kola Adewusi said further that Gov. Ademola Adeleke would not relent in his efforts towards ensuring that the state enjoys the dividend of democracy which he had been delivering.
“The governor has been paying salaries , gratuity, back log of salaries , wage awards and other allowances which is commendable.
“He will not relent towards ensuring that the state enjoys all what is due fo them . The state government will continue to prioritize the welfare of citizens towards ensuring that their demands are met.
He therefore, charged them to embrace dialogue and constructive engagement towards achieving their demands as he equally assured the protesters that once the Federal Government palliatives is completed , it would be disbursed to residents.
Earlier in his statement, one of the protesters, Mr Akin Ashafat, an activist, also known as Government, said the protest would, therefore continue until all their demands were met.
He called on the president to take quick action by “walking his talk” to the protesters’ demands rather than seeking dialogue, which he claimed might not yield any tangible results.
