NLC Set For Strike Over Suffering In Nigeria
The suffering in oil-rich Nigeria has become so unbearable that the leadership of Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has fixed September 5, 2023, to proceed on a warning strike.
The apex labour union in Nigeria said the September 5, 2023 two day strike is in preparation for a total shutdown which will start in 21 days.
President of NLC, Joe Ajaero, confirmed the Congress’ decision on Friday after the union’s National Executive Council.
NewsOrient Network reports that the Organised Labour, private analysts and critics have blamed the current hardship in the land on sudden subsidy removal and other controversial policies of the Bola Ahmed Tinubu-led Federal Government.
