The Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, today, Monday, September 4, 2023, launched the Lagos metro train service called the Blue Line Rail.

The governor, alongside his wife, his deputy and other top state government officials also took the inaugural commercial ride in the morning of Monday, September 4.

The Governor boarded the train at around 9.07am.

Top dignitaries that accompanied Governor Sanwo Olu in the inaugural ridw included Deputy Governor Obafemi Hamzat, Secretary to the State Government, Mrs. Bimbola Salu-Hundeyin, former Deputy Governor Femi Pedro, former Speaker of the House of Assembly Adeyemi Ikuforiji, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro and the wife of the Lagos State Governor, Mrs. Ibijoke Sanwo Olu.

A report in TheNiche said the “ride from the Marina station to Mile 2 takes about 17 to 20 minutes with 90secs at each station before the final destination.”
