Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has declared All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Usman Ododo, the winner of the Governorship Election.

According to INEC, Ododo won with 446,237 votes, defeating his closest rival, Murtala Ajaka of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), who scored 259,052, and Dino Melaye of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who polled 46,362 votes.

Melaye in his response has however called for a total cancellation of the election, describing it’s conduct as “shameful.”
