Ike Ekweremadu Diagnosed With Acute Kidney Damage

– Daughter

Nigeria’s former Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu, has been diagnosed with acute kidney damage.

This is even as he still languishes in police custody in London, United Kingdom, over allegation that he conspired with his wife, Beatrice, to harvest the kidney of a young Nigerian in order to save the life of their daughter, Sonia.

It was Sonia, Ekweremadu’s daughter herself, who is still battling her kidney disease in a London hospital that disclosed this development on Monday.

It would be recalled that Senator Ike Ekweremadu and his wife, Beatrice, are currently facing charges of organ harvesting in the United Kingdom.

They were accused of bringing a young man from Nigeria to London to harvest his organ for Sonia their daughter.

Because the would-be donor  reported the couple to the London Police, alleging he was forced, the couple  were arrested.

While Beatrice has been granted bail, Ike is still being held in detention.
