Ibori Faults UK Court’s $130m Confiscation Order, Vows To Appeal Ruling

Former Governor of Delta State, Chief James Ibori, has flayed Friday judgment of a British Court of Appeal to confiscate 101.5 million pounds ($130 million) from him following a money laundering case.

Describing the ruling as “outrageous,” Ibori said: “I know one thing for sure, that if I do not go to the Court of Appeal to contest this outrageous Order, then my people will definitely say that I am a madman!”

NewsOrient Network reports that in the Court of Appeal order issued in London on Friday, Britain seeks to confiscate 101.5 million pounds ($130 million) from Ibori, who was accused of abusing his office as the governor of Delta State, Nigeria, to get rich and of laundering millions of pounds in Britain and other places.
