Controversy surrounding the true sex of cross-dresser, Idris Olanrewaju Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky took another turn today as he told the Federal High Court sitting in Lagos that he is actually a man.

Before today’s confession, Bobrisky had claimed that he changed from being a man to being a woman after a well hyped surgery.

Since that public claim on 8th July 2021, Bobrisky has consistently appeared in public functions and in social media in flamboyant female costumes.

On April 13, 2023, exactly a year ago, Daily Post, in a report also quoted Bobrisky as saying he no longer had male genitals.

The report read: “Popular Nigerian cross-dresser and social media personality, Okuneye Idris Olanrewaju, better known as Bobrisky, has revealed that he no longer has male genitals.

“The controversial celebrity disclosed this recently in a social media post.

“According to him, he now has thick thighs with a sexy shape.

“He wrote, “I no longer have a manhood, just thick thighs with sexy shape that come with a v.”

But today, at the Federal High Court, sitting in Lagos, where he had gone to receive the court’s sentencing against him in a case of abuse of the naira, the trial judge, Justice Abimbola Awogboro, asked Bobrisky a direct question as to whether he is a male or a female. He said clearly, “I am a man.”

Based on that confession, the judge sent him to a male correctional centre in Lagos, to serve his six months jail sentence following his conviction in a four counts charge of Naira abuse proffered against him by the Economic And Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
