Rita Daniels, a Nollywood actress, producer and the mother of popular actress, Regina Daniels, has lost her bid to become the next President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN).

Rita Daniels lost the bid in an election, held on Saturday, December 6, 2025.

Instead of Rita, who many described as a frontline contestant, the election produced the Guild’s current National Secretary, Abubakar Yakubu as the next President.

Rita Daniels is a 50 years old mother of six children namely; Mrs Regina Daniels Nwoko, Ifeoma Daniels, Samuel Daniels, Lawrence Daniels, Emmanuel Daniels and Destiny Daniels.

Aside making considerable impact as a Nollywood actress and film producer, a position that helped her to expose and mentor her daughter, Regina, to prominence, she is also known as “a politician and a cultural advocate.”
