Most Nigerians are yet to recover from the shock they experienced when the House of Representatives Committee on Aviation openly declared that the recently unveiled Nigerian Airline is a fraud, a scam by the Federal Government of Nigeria against unsuspecting Nigerian citizens.

According to the lawmakers, the alleged launch of Nigeria Air at the tail end of the administration of former President Muhammadu Buhari is a huge fraud.

Chairman of the House Committee on Aviation, Nnolim Nnaji, who made the declaration, said the launch of Nigeria Air is a fraud.

He made this statement because the major stakeholders in the deal between the Federal Government of Nigeria and Ethiopian Airlines had denied knowledge of the alleged launch of Nigerian Air.

It would be recalled that at the peak of the controversy over the genuineness of the birth of Nigerian Air, the Ministry of Aviation reportedly “claimed Nigeria Air was only unveiled and not launched.” That was after it was reported that the huge Nigerian Airplane published to authenticate the claims of a newly birthed Nigerian Airline, was actually a hired aircraft repainted as Nigerian Airline aircraft.
