Succour is on the way for those going through emotional pains as a result of divorce, those that have gone through heartbreaks in their relationships and those still undecided about their relationship.
Finding Love After Trauma (FLAT) Fiesta is an initiative organised by Lara Kudayisi International, a professional healing academy. Known more with the acronym FLAT, it’s a fiesta that brings the singles, married and divorced under one roof to share their experiences and get counseling from experts and people that have been through similar situations.
The one day event will hold at the prestigious Muson Centre (Agip Recital Hall) on Saturday, June 29th, 2024 and will be graced by personalities from different shades of the society who will share their experiences during the different sessions of the discussion.
The discussion will be in three sessions: for singles, married and divorced.
Lara Kudayisi explains more: “This fiesta is for the single, married and divorced. The objective is to bring people to a safe space where they can discuss different experiences because we have our different families. We have three panel sections, one is for the single section and we have people like Omawunmi Akinnifesi, Ayo Bamiladipo, Bolanle Oluchi, Babalola Yemisi Faleye and Stanley Eze, they will be on the panel section for single people. They will be talking to us about how they are single and thriving because we want to debunk the narrative that being single means prostitution or miserable. There will be opportunities for networking as well.
The second session is the marriage panel session. We are bringing married people, husband and wife that have been married for a while and they would want to share their experiences, what has kept them. Like we all know, marriage is no longer interesting with things that are happening in the society. Our panelists will be: Morayo Afolabi-Brown, MD TVC Entertainment Channel and her husband Afolabi Brown, and Wole and Lolade Ogunshola, both Pastors from Grace Life Church, Nigeria, who will be coming to share their experiences on how people can have longer and happier marriage.
The final section is for the divorced people because I used to be divorced before I remarried, which is why that aspect is very important to me. The society don’t reckon with the divorced, nobody creates programme for them or acknowledge them. We are bringing people for that panel section. We have Dotun Kayode, Sandra Iheuwa, Chiamaka Obuekwe, Tommy Phillip and a lot of other people.
I am going to share my story, how I had a child at 19, 14 heartbreaks, 15 abortions, divorced and now married to Teddy Don Momoh. This is what we want to correct; people think that when you have made mistake, nothing good can come out of you again.”
Adding his voice, Teddy Don Momoh (Lara Kudayisi’s husband) said the programme hopefully will be a yearly event. On why the widows were not included, he said it’s a gradual process that will accommodate them in subsequent events.
The programme, according to him, will not just be talk and counseling sessions alone, as there will be other side attractions like: games, comedy, panel sessions, couple interview, networking, therapy sessions and music performances.
Lara Kudayisi international is a healing academy that specialises in therapy, coaching, couples therapy, finding love after trauma, life after divorce and coaching certification.
