Some policemen have been sighted coddening off the Close where the National Secretariat of the All Progressive Congress (APC) today.

The fear is occasioned by the fact that it is today, Monday, March 6, 2022, that Governor Abubakar Sanni Bello of Niger State, who is said to have been tipped to take over from Mai Mala-Buni, is expected to formally take over.

Also, it is today that Governor AbdulRasaque AbdulRahman of Kwara State is expected to submit the report of his committee on the controversial zoning arrangement said to have been adopted by the party

Also heightening the tension is an allegation that the Secretary of the National Caretaker and Convention Committee, Senator John Akpanudoedehe, had ordered that the secretariat should not be opened for any meeting today.

Given these developments, observers have expressed gave concern ahead of the party’s forthcoming national convention.
