Chima Udoye, yesterday emerged the winner of the keenly contested 2024 edition of Nigerian Idol music competition.

With the victory, the 24-year-old singer from Anambra State will smile home with
a grand prize package worth N30million, including a brand-new SUV, a record deal, and a music video production.

Udoye’s closest rivals in this year’s competition (the ninth season) were Chioma and Lammy.

Themed “Dare to Dream,” the 2024 Nigerian Idol aired live for eight weeks.

Premiered in April 2024, this season was hosted by IK Osakioduwa with the judging panel consisting of 9ice, Omawumi and Ric Hassani.

The grand finale, which aired live on Sunday, July 14, 2024, featured guest artists like Simi, Chike, and some past Nigerian Idol winners like Progress and Victory Gbakara.
