Operatives of the Department of the State Service (DSS), today arrested the President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Joe Ajaero.

Although details of his arrest are still scanty, NewsOrient can report now that Ajaero was arrested by operatives of DSS at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.

Some reports said he was on his way to the United Kingdom to attend a Trade Union Congress meeting when the operatives swooped on him.

Recall that Ajaero was recently invited by Nigerian government and questioned.
