ASUU Strike: Minister, Student’s Meeting Ends In Stalemate Again

The meeting between the Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu, and Nigerian students protesting the ongoing strike embarked by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) again ended abruptly in Abuja on Monday, February 28, 2022.

This is the second time in two weeks the meeting will end without the expected results.

NewsOrient learnt that the meeting ended abruptly when the minister suddenly walked out on the students.

As at the time of filing this report, it is not yet known why the minister had to leave the venue of the meeting the way he did.

The meeting was called after the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) demanded sack of Adamu Adamu and Minister of Labour and Employment, Dr Chris Ngige, for failing to resolve the impasse between ASUU and the Federal Government.
