An official memo from the authorities of the Ekiti State University has directed students and the academic staff, including non academic staff, to resume on August 29, 2022.

According to the memo, signed by the Registrar, Ife Oluwole, the decision to resume “was taken after a stakeholders meeting which took place between the academic and non academic staff.”

 Oluwole said “the stakeholders have reviewed the impact of the six months old strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) and it’s impact on academic and non academic life of the institution and have come to the conclusion that continuation of the months long strike is not desirable.”

It would be recalled that though non academic staff of universities recently announced suspension of it’s strike, academic staff members union is yet to call off it’s over six months strike.
