In a brief event, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has sworn-in Senator George Akume as the new Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF).

The swearing-in event took place at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Among the dignitaries that graced the event were Vice President Kashim Shettima, Senate President Ahmed Lawan, Kwara Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Dr Folasade Yemi-Esan and the wife of the new SGF, Mrs Regina Akume.

NewsOrient Network learnt that Senator Akume’s Oath of Allegiance and Oath of Office took place at around 11 am yesterday inside the Council Chambers of the Villa.
