Super Eagles has qualified for the quarter finals of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

The Nigerian team qualified for the quarter finals Saturday night after beating tough rival, Cameroon 2-0 in the last 16 game.

The two goals were scored by the Atalanta forward, Ademola Lookman.

While Lookman scored the first goal in the 36th minute of the first half with Victor Osimhen’s calculated aid, he scored the second goal at the 90th minute of the superlative encounter.

With the win, Nigeria’s Super Eagles will meet Angola in the last eight on Friday at the Felix Houphouet-Boigny Stadium.

NewsOrient reports that Nigerian fans are thrilled by the performance of the Super Eagles during this Saturday’s encounter with their arch football rival Cameroon and are therefore hopeful that Nigeria will triumph on Friday.
