Nigeria’s national team, the Super Eagles, will play against Libyan national team in the country tomorrow for the second leg of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.

NewsOrient reports that the Super Eagles are already in Libya for the match.

Despite the frustrations following flight diversions and delays when Nigerian players and officials arrived at Al Abaq Airport in Libya, fans are hopeful the Super Eagles are mentally and physically ready for tomorrow’s encounter.

It would be recalled that in the first leg, Nigeria defeated Libya 1-0 at Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo on Friday. NewsOrient reported then that it took Fisayo Dele-Bashiru’s late goal to give the day to the Super Eagles.

The second leg between the two countries is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, October 15, 2024.
