The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has finally made known the new National Working Committee (NWC) of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) it recognized officially.

The electoral umpire did this by publishing on it’s website the new leadership of the ADC it recognizes.

The new NWC of ADC INEC published on it’s website is the one headed by former Senate President David Mark, who it listed as the National Chairman of ADC.

Recall that in July this year, 2025, some opposition politicians in Nigeria came together and adopted ADC as the coalition platform for the opposition ahead of 2027 Elections in Nigeria.

Then, Senator David Mark, Rauf Aregbesola, an ex-Minister of Interior, and Bolaji Abdullahi, a former Minister of Sports, were appointed Interim Chairman, Secretary, and Spokesperson, respectively.

Ralph Nwosu, ADC’s Founder, at that time announced the resignation of the former NWC of ADC and endorsed the Interim Leadership headed by Mark.

Recently however, some aggrieved members and state leaders of ADC have reportedly challenged the adoption of the David Mark-led National Working Committee, with some even announcing themselves as the real leaders of the party.

With INEC’s publication of the David Mark-led National Working Committee of ADC as the leadership it recognises, the confusion over ADC and it’s likely impact in 2027 Elections is becoming clearer.
