At the weekend, the Screening Committee of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, completed it’s screening assignment of principal Officers and lawmakers at the National Assembly.

Writing about the exercise, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, who represents Abia North Senatorial District said in a speech released on Saturday, May 9, 2026:

“Today, I was duly screened alongside the President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, the Deputy President of the Senate, the Senate Majority Leader, and other distinguished colleagues by the screening committee of the All Progressives Congress.

“I sincerely appreciate the APC National Chairman, the National Secretary of the party, the National Organizing Secretary, the entire National Working Committee, the Chairman of the screening committee, and members of the screening committee for their excellent organization, professionalism, and commitment towards ensuring a seamless and stress-free process.

“The remarkable improvement in the party’s machinery speaks volumes about the quality of leadership and coordination presently driving our great party forward.”
