The political atmosphere in Abia State is gathering momentum as respected legal practitioner and frontline governorship aspirant, Dr. Kelechi Anosike, has officially declared his intention to contest for the governorship seat under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Anosike, widely regarded as a seasoned professional with deep roots in law, business, and governance, is selling a vision anchored on performance, accountability, and people-focused leadership.

His blueprint promises aggressive infrastructure renewal, massive job creation, improved workers’ welfare, pension reforms, and a transparent system of governance.

Supporters say his entrance into the race has disrupted the old political order, presenting delegates with a credible candidate untainted by the failures and burdens of establishment politics.

The campaign further projects him as an internationally exposed commercial lawyer and turnaround strategist with the capacity to reposition Abia for economic growth and sustainable development.

A proud son of Umukabia Okpuala, Ohuhu, in Umuahia North Local Government Area, with maternal ties to Bende Local Government Area, Anosike is also championing bold policies in youth empowerment, industrialization, healthcare, education, agriculture, and security.

Having remained loyal to the PDP since 2005, many party faithful see him as a tested hand with the energy, intellect, and political will to lead the party into a new era.
