A Labour Party (LP) Chieftain in Abia State, Engr Nwabueze Onwuneme, has warned leaders of All Progressive Congress, APC, in the State to
stop threatening Labour Party’s National Leader, Governor Alex Chioma Otti, with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s reelection.

Onwuneme, an activist and grassroots leader, said “the current threats of our Leader and action governor by desperate APC leaders in Abia State are not necessary because even they, the so-called APC leaders in the state, know that in Abia State of today, it’s only Governor Alex Otti that can sway Abians to vote for any presidential candidate.

Governor Otti, he explained, “earned this status not by making noise in the media or at campaign grounds, but by delivering good governance to the people of Abia.”

“Under Governor Alex Otti, the people of Abia State are enjoying quality governance as they have never seen it before. It’s like magic, the action governor is opening up rural areas by building quality access roads, schools, hospitals and other essential facilities at jet speed even as he has, within two years, effectively redeemed Aba, Umuahia and Ohafia, turning each of them to real metropolis anyone would be proud of.

“So, we know
these so-called APC leaders in Abia State, who are threatening Governor Alex Otti with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election, insinuating that Otti’s political future depends on him joining them in APC, are just doing this, showing off with the hope that Governor Otti would feel threatened and be persuaded to help them out. They resorted to this cheap blackmail after taking cognisance of the fact that in today’s Abia, where Governor Alex Otti has opened the people’s eyes that deliverance of good governance is possible, all the wicked political leaders in Abia now lack capacity to win elections even for themselves, not to talk of delivering President Tinubu here in Abia,” Onwuneme said.

He advised the APC chieftains to stop deceiving themselves as everyone in Abia State today, including anyone that have visited Abia State since 2025 “know that the days of grand deception in Abia State politics and governance is over. Abia people have seen the light and Otti is our torch bearer,” he said.
