How Afam Osigwe SAN Emerged President-Elect Of NBA

An innovative election conducted online by the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Africa’s biggest Bar, has produced Afam Osigwe as the President-Elect, as he secured the highest votes cast, 20,395, reports NewsOrient.

Osigwe is a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) and former General Secretary of NBA.

His major rivals in the national 2024 NBA Election that commenced by 12am this morning (Sunday) were Tobenna Erojikwe, the Chairman of the NBA Institute of Continuing Education Governing Council, who came second with 10,970 votes and Chukwuka Ikwuazom SAN, a former Chairman of NBA, Lagos Branch, who came third with 9,007 votes.

Osigwe got the highest number of votes cast, with 20,395, defeating his closest rival, Tobenna Erojikwe, who got 10,970 votes, and Chukwuka Ikwuazom (SAN), who got 9,007 votes.

With his election, Osigwe is set to replace the outgoing NBA President, Yakubu Maikyau SAN.
