Fake UTME Result: I Forged My Result, Mmesoma Finally Admits
Mmesoma Ejikeme, the young girl at the centre of the controversy over forged 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) results, has finally admitted that she actually forged the star result.
She made the startling admission to a panel of independent investigators set up by Anambra State Government on the matter.
In the report made available to journalists in Abuja by the spokesperson of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, Dr, Fabian Benjamin, the panel said:
“In Ejikeme Joy Mmesoma’s submission, she owned up in the presence of her principal, and the Education Secretary that the narration by the JAMB officials was a true and correct description of what transpired. She also admitted to have given a manipulated result by herself unaided, using the same phone Artel Number.
“According to her, she proceeded to the cybercafé (Prisca Global Computers, Uruagu, Nnewi) where she printed the results she had manipulated.”
The Principal of her school, Anglican Girls’Secondary school, Uruagu Nnewi, and the Education Secretary – Diocese of Nnewi (Anglican Communion) in their submissions expressed shock at what transpired where in their presence, Mmesoma admitted having manipulated her UTME results, deceiving the school, her immediate family and the State Government.”
It would be recalled that JAMB had on Sunday accused Mmesoma of manually inflating her UTME result from 249 to 362.
The high score led to celebration of Mmesoma as the 2023 UTME highest scorer. Innoson Motors for example proudly offered her a N3m scholarship.
Until this weekend, Mmesoma insisted her result was not forged arguing that she printed her result from the JAMB website.
