Former Governor of Bayelsa State and immediate past Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Timipre Sylva, has emerged as the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the November 11 Elections in Bayelsa State.

According to his party’s announcement, Sylva’s victory at the Bayelsa APC’s primaries was a landslide.

The results of the Governorship Primary Election in Bayelsa, announced by Maj. Gen. A.T Jubrin, the Chairman, Primary Election Committee, said Sylva polled 52, 061 votes from the total accredited delegates list of list of 58,141.
