The Independent National Electoral Commission  (INEC) has confirmed that at least 37.1 million, out of the total 93.5 million registered voters ahead of this year’s General Election are youths between 18 and 34 years of age.

Before now, many political analysts have stated that most of the Nigerian youths currently populating campaign rallies do not have Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs).

But the 2023 Voting Demography, just released by INEC shows that youths and students currently constitute critical electoral blocs that will together determine Nigeria’s next president.
