Engr Nwabueze Onwuneme, a youth advocate, has advised former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, and the ADC Coalition to adopt Mr Peter Obi as the people’s candidate for the 2027 Presidential Elections.

He also said Abia State Governor, Dr Alex Otti, is “a beautiful bride and a good asset whose gubernatorial candidacy for the 2027 General Elections will ensure victory for both the Labour Party and the ADC coalition in all the elections in Abia State and the Southeast.
Commenting on the 2027 Presidential Election, Engr Nwabueze Onwuneme said it will be in the interest of Nigerian youths and common Nigerians to ensure that Peter Obi takes over Aso Rock, Abuja, the seat of power in Nigeria.
On the seeming dilemma in the coalition’s choice of a suitable presidential candidate, Nwabueze said, “Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar should help suffering Nigerian masses by letting go of his presidential ambition to support Peter Obi.
“We all know Atiku’s burning desire to become the President of Nigeria. But the reality of Nigeria today is that if Atiku contests against President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027, he, Atiku, will lose.
“This is because it will not be realistic to deny the South a second term. Atiku and his supporters should see the naked truth, which is that Obi’s one term proposal at this point may be the long awaited doctrine of necessity needed to recreate Nigeria.”
Onwuneme explained further: “Also, Mr Peter Obi is widely accepted across the length and breath of Nigeria today. He is one politician who has demonstrated that things can be done differently in Nigeria.
“Today, Nigerians see in him the new spirit that can help make emergence of a new Nigeria POssible.
“So, if the coalition is serious about defeating President Tinubu and his All Progressive Congress (APC), the right thing to do is to convince Atiku to sacrifice his ambition for now, accept the role of a Political Father to Peter Obi, and join hands with Nigerian youths and the people to ensure Obi’s victory and the emergence of a new Nigeria,” Onwuneme said, adding, if Atiku does this willingly, he will book a unique place as the Father of the emerging New Nigeria!”
On Abia State and Southeast politics ahead of 2027 General Elections, Engr Nwabueze Onwuneme said “if Governor Alex Otti decides to run on any platform, like the Labour Party or the ADC coalition, or if he openly associates with any of them, such a platform will not only win the governorship election in Abia State but will also garner near 100% of the votes in the presidential election, national assembly election and state assembly elections in Abia State and the Southeast.”
According to Onwuneme, Governor Alex Otti has done so well that Ndiabia and the youths of other Southeast states, who are impressed by the quality of leadership Otti has offered Abia, are simply waiting to see where he stands. “Wherever Otti stands, that’s where Abia youths and majority of Southeast masses and elites will vote,” he said.
Onwuneme added: “Ndiabia have waited for good governance for so long. At last, Dr Alex Otti has emerged and so far, he has offered genuine leadership and good governance to Abia State and to the people. So in 2027 and beyond, wherever Gov Otti stands, Ndiabia will certainly follow.
“Anybody contesting against Otti in 2027 and beyond will only be seen in Abia and in the Southeast as an enemy of progress.
“Otti represents Abia State renaissance and a torchbearer in the Southeast, so Abia youths and Southeast people will not allow any enemy of progress to deceive them in 2027. They are for Otti and will come out in mass to ensure his reelection and election of any candidate he advises them to vote for in the other electoral positions, including the presidency, national and state legislative seats,” Onwuneme said.
