Ekiti State Governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi, on Wednesday visited President Muhammadu Buhari over 2023 Presidential Ticket of All Progressive Congress.

Fayemi, at the meeting, formally informed Mr President of his decision to contest the 2023 Presidential Election on the platform of the ruling party, the APC.

It would be recalled that Fayemi also visited APC National Chairman, Abdullahi Adamu, on Tuesday evening and inform him of his intention to seek the ticket of the party.

An official in the Presidency was quoted as saying off record:
“it remains unclear if Mr Buhari would throw his weight fully behind Mr Fayemi’s candidature especially given the fact that he has kept the identity of his preferred successor secret.”
